Born in Lower Hutt, New Zealand in 1940, Graham Smith studied at Wellington Polytechnic. He moved to Sydney in 1977, and taught drawing at The University of Technology until 1985. A cubist and modernist working in oils, acrylics and mixed media he has exhibited in provincial New South Wales.
