.Allan Crombie lived in Dunedin, New Zealand, when he first started painting in the 1960s. He then shifted to Nelson about 1972, and became a full time artist. He currently lives in Christchurch and continues to paint, mostly in oils, semi abstract and landscape paintings using varying styles and colour palettes. His work has been exhibited at Bryce Gallery Christchurch, Saffron Gallery, Timaru, Red Peach Gallery, Napier and Central Gallery, Queenstown.
