About Gretchen Albrecht
Born in Auckland in 1943, Gretchen Albrecht studied at the Auckland University School of Fine Arts and began exhibiting her drawings, watercolours and acrylic paintings in 1964.
Gretchen Albrecht is one of the most prolific of the artists listed in our database, with the number of works offered for sale by auction since 1988 of 691, of which 514 (74%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $173,382 for Inlet West Coast 1974 sold by International Art Centre in September 2022. This year 14 works have been offered for sale.
